Kona Village
The Kona Village has been around, since before there was a highway in the area. Opened in 1965 this 82 acre oceanfront resort is simply amazing. Dining here is a experience you will not forget. There are two dining rooms, Hale Samoa and Hale Moana.
Hale Samoa is only open for dinner, and is very exclusive. Dinner is about a hundred dollars a plate. Hale Moana is open for breakfast lunch and dinner. prices are a little more reasonable, but still very expensive.
There is a weekly Luau that is top notch, and you can get a look at traditional Hawaiian food and preparation. There is also a Sunday Brunch, that has possibly the best spread around.
For ambiance, this resort can not be beat. The grounds are immaculate, and all structures are done in old Hawaiian style.
