Big Island News: Community meetings move to Ocean View





Mayor Billy Kenoi continues his policy of bringing county government to communities around Hawaii Island when the mayor and key members of his cabinet gather at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, at the Ocean View Community Center.

Issues such as a proposed transfer station, the new production well and water tank, Kahuku Park and Civil Defense will be up for discussion, as well as any other items of interest to the community.

Members of the Mayor’s cabinet expected to attend include Planning Director B.J. Leithead-Todd, Director of Environmental Management Lono Tyson, Director of the Department of Water Supply Milton Pavao, Mass Transit Administrator Tom Brown, Director of Housing and Community Development Steve Arnett, Director of Civil Defense Quince Mento, Police Chief Harry Kubojiri, and Deputy Managing Director Wally Lau.

Cabinet members will be available for one-on-one conversations during a breakout session. Light refreshments will be served.
