Subject: Marine Aircraft Activity

Dear Homeowners:

Marine jet fighters are conducting day and night strafing and bombing  runs in support of Marine ground units at PTA during the period  January 8th - January 18th. Some of the bombs are inert non-explosive, others are 500 lb high explosive bombs. We may hear live bomb impacts if the atmospheric conditions are right.

How come? NEW
by: Auntie Kahana

They have flying over longer than mentioned and go well into the night. It is disturbing to us on the ground. Initially my grandson thought it was a bad thunder storm and was frightened.
How come they are allowed to fly over populated areas and cause distress? I live all the way in Kona.
