With a vast menu second only to Ken's House of Pancakes, Blane's serves up everything from standard hamburgers to chicken katsu.

There's a mean plate lunch with tons of fresh fish for only $7.

The slow-cooked homemade chili and sticky white rice is a meal in itself, and costs less than $3.

They are cheaply priced, with a pretty good kid's menu.

last week (6/13/13)I went to eat @ the Orchid Land Blane's and while taking my order the boyfriend or husband of the counter help came in & started swearing that "some Fu*k*r just went and bang your car!" She started yelling that she knew "that fu*k*r" and for the boyfriend to go after him. There were two older people (tourist) that were waiting to order and just left with a group of others that were also in line.
Very classy place... When my food arrived it was really bad. I told the woman @ the counter that my chicken was over cooked and some was just deep fried skin not meat. She didn't say a word just grabbed it threw it up on the counter & told the cook to recook it. It came back worse than the first time. This place is really bad!

I wouldn't let me dog eat here after my experience. The girls up front wore dirty shirts. The windows seals are full of flies and dust. The tables are broken. The manager is completely inconsiderate. The kitchen crew NEVER wears hair nets and I found hair in my food. I seen a young female cleaning the walls and bleaching the floors and watched her slowly loose motivation in getting the place clean. I seen this young female a fews weeks later working at a different restaurant in hilo and she said she quit out of pure disgust of the place. I seen cockroaches on the counter near the soda machine and the cabinets under are full of dirt and dead roaches. This place is so dirty I am ashamed of the owners letting it get that nasty. I think a health inspector seriously needs to check this place out. Downtown Blanes is 100% cleaner and the service 100% better. The food looks better and the place smells clean. I seriously advice NO ONE to eat here.

not sure what the meat is in their hamburgers, but I now understand why we didn't see any of the donkeys that they want us to watch out for. very poor quality.
