Kona never knew it needed a wine bar until it got Mixx, but now the town would seem strange without it.

In addition to their fantastic wine and cheese delivery service, Mixx serves up a tasty menu of bistro-inspired pupu (tapas or appetizers) ranging from super healthy plates of sautéed veggies and tofu to what they claim are "the Island's best fries."

They also offer a handful of entrée options, including steak frites and a whole crab or lobster served with drawn butter. And then of course there's the cheese plate.

And the wine. Sigh. Live music keeps the patio lively most nights and Sunday afternoons.
