Kona Restaurants: "Ba-Le" Euro-Asian Fusion

Located in the Kona Coast Shopping center right of KTA, This delightful hole-in-the-wall has has tasty Vietnamese-influenced food, such as their popular croissant sandwiches stuffed with mint, lemongrass, sprouts, and your choice from a variety of Vietnamese-style meats.

Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) is an elaborate take on saimen or ramen soup.

A wide array to please the palate, including vegetarian choices.

The drink menu is different~they offer tapioca pearl drinks. (Oh-So-Good!)

On their counter you will notice little squares of banana-leaf wrapped mochi, or sweet-rice cakes.

The taro mochi is to die for, and you have to come early in the day for it as it runs out.

Prices are pretty inexpensive, and they are child-friendly.

This is my favorite restaurant in Kona! I've lived here for several years and eat here at least twice a week. They're pho is amazing, the tofu is delicious, and the lemongrass chicken sandwich is unbelievable. Plus they always have some yummy fresh baked snacks and awesome tapioca's.

I Love this place!

Tons of vegetarian options, including Saimin made with mushroom broth. Great veggie rolls, lemongrass tofu. I love this place! Definitely my favorite place in Kona, over everyone else, really! One of my top 3 restaurants overall, including the mainland. FABULOUS vegan tapioca pudding (mango, coconut, pineapple, etc.). When in Kona, I have something from Ba-le everyday! Super ono grinds.
