Parrots in Paradise Sanctuary is a 501 c (3) non-profit parrot sanctuary on the Big Island.

This sanctuary was founded on the Big Island in 2003 by Jerry and Dorothy Walsh.

Our organization is a unique, valuable and lifesaving resource within the local exotic bird community.

Our mission is to provide a safe haven and rescue for the numerous unwanted parrots in Hawaii.

We promote responsible parrot guardianship for all captive birds.

As a rescue, we strive to rehabilitate needy parrots and rehome those who are friendly, tame or adoptable.

Parrots in Paradise Sanctuary is a wonderful place to visit with over 75 parrots currently in residence in the sanctuary.

The sanctuary offers tours to visitors or residents who are interested in our work.

Parrots in Paradise Sanctuary has rehomed several parrots into great homes on the Big Island and off island.
