Friend of Hawaii

Hi, David

I don't have much to add to my earlier comments. But as you and others may know, as I have stated my position, I am deeply interested in the sovereignty/ independence movement. But David what is the latest on the appeal brought by the former State Attorney General Bennet in 2008 to the U.S. Supreme Court regarding the attempt by the "State of Hawai'i to sell some or part of the ceded(stolen)lands(Kingdom of Hawaii crown lands and other lands held in trust for the Kanaka Maoli? This was almost for years ago. Has the U.S. Supreme Court even considered the case on the "merits" of the appeal by the AG's office to the Hawai'i "State" Supreme Court's ruling or judicial decision which was contrary to what the Attorneys General's office desired? What is the status on this particular aspect. Personally, I believe there were no legal merits to the "State" AG's appeal. I have also noted there have been no very recent, general comments on this really crucial matter?
